VPA support to ShelterBox

The Virtual Pilots Association, based on the idea of some members, decided to give it's support to ShelterBox. This mainly came because Yann, founder of VPA, is part of the founding team of ShelterBox France, helping and participating to ShelterBox mission, and is providing a lot of feedback and updates of ShelterBox operations in the VPA.

So while they were seeing how ShelterBox was helping people in the world, VPA members decided to help ShelterBox instead of just reading about it, and to support VPA.
To do so, they decided to bring VPA donation system up again so that pilots could give some money to buy a first ShelterBox and maybe more with member donations.

If you want to participate giving back shelter, warmth and dignity to people stroke by disaster, then click on the Paypal button below and give what you want.
All the money (minus Paypal fees), will go for ShelterBox in VPA ShelterBoxes.
And to give you some clear idea of where we are, you'll find below current status of donations.
When we'll have financed a ShelterBox, as soon as we'll have it's number, we'll indicate it here and as soon as we are informed of where it was sent, we'll also display it here.

About ShelterBox

ShelterBox is a charity that respond instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who who are most in need.

Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. The contents are tailored depending on the nature and location of the disaster, with great care taken sourcing every item to ensure it is robust enough to be of lasting value.

The cost of a box is 750 €, including delivery direct to those who need it. Each box bears its own unique number so as a donor you can track your box all the way to its recipient country via the website.

Highly trained ShelterBox Response Teams distribute boxes on the ground, working closely with local organisations, international aid agencies and Rotary clubs worldwide.

Since its inception in 2000, ShelterBox has firmly established itself at the forefront of international disaster relief providing shelter and dignity following over 80 disasters in more than 50 countries.
